Russell Booth has had over 25 years experience in the careers industry in New Zealand. He is a past President and current Fellow of CDANZ, the Career Development Association of NZ. He runs his own business Career Change Ltd in Hawke's Bay and has worked with many clients young and old. He recently worked at the ASB Business Careers Centre and the main Career Development Centre at the University of Auckland as a Career Consultant. He is currently Lecturing and Programme Co-ordinator of the Bachelor of Business at EIT Hawke's Bay.
Ever had a sense that there is something else you could be doing for work that is more meaningful, more satisfying? Not fully inspired by what you do all the time and wonder ‘is this it?’ Or just curious to know why you actually enjoy what you do? Over 2 sessions Russell will outline why you love or don’t love your work, by exploring your own sense of purpose, what it is and where it came from. You will also look at these skills you enjoy using the most and working out if they are in your work or now. And finally, look through career titles specific to New Zealand and see if there is indeed something else out there for you.
These are very hands-on, interactive sessions which will give you a better sense of who you are, what meaningful work is to you and maybe what your next steps could be.
Includes light morning tea.
