Changes Affecting the Workplace
Major workplace law changes from 1 April
There are a number of pending changes to employment law which are included in the Employment Relations Amendment Act 2018, the Domestic Violence Victims Protection Act 2018 and the Minimum Wage Order 2019.
The areas of changes are in the following areas:
- payday filing
- minimum wage increase
- reinstatement of set meal and rest breaks
- limiting of 90-day trials
- domestic violence leave
- union powers and collective bargaining
