Your Business Profile

Your Business Profile introduces you and your products and services to other people. To get the most from business networking sessions, others like to hear:

  • Who you are and what your work background is
  • What your business is; the products and services you provide, the area you cover and any specialised experience you have
  • The sort of clients you are looking for.

This gives other business people in the network enough information to be able to start thinking about how they can support your business through referrals.

Being able to tell people the most important features of your business within a couple of minutes is a useful skill and the network sessions are a chance to hone this skill.

Here's an example:

My name is Susan Brown and the name of my business is Brown's Accountancy.
I've been an accountant for 25 years in large accountancy firms and set up my own accountancy firm 8 years ago here in Hastings.

I employ 2 other accountants on my staff and our speciality is helping in small businesses to set up their internal accounting systems, managing cash flow and profitability and also in helping businesses that are in financial difficulty.

We have clients throughout Hawke's Bay and also as far afield as Palmerston North. The sort of clients that my business is looking for are businesses that are just starting up and who need support in getting good financial management systems in place.

Business Hawke's Bay is an arms-length division of the Chamber as the regional agency dedicated to Growing the Bay. Contact us for business advice, business development, start ups, relocations and much more.
