E4E is an approach to teaching and learning, rather than an additional programme, that adds value to school based learning right across the curriculum.
By encouraging business and community organisations to work with schools and facilitate partnerships that create meaningful learning opportunities for students, E4E aims to give students the opportunity to be engaged in learning that is relevant and authentic and be able to apply enterprise skills and attributes to a wide variety of curriculum areas.
As students embrace the rapid changes in knowledge creation & technological innovation of the 21st century, there is a need for students to develop the skills and enterprising attributes that will enable them to successfully manage personal, community, business and employment opportunities.
E4E sits right alongside the vision and principles from The Ministry of Education’s New Zealand Curriculum, is supported locally through the HB Chamber of Commerce and funded by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.
Hawke's Bay has started with Education 4 Enterprise in 2009. Click here to see some of the current projects.
