HB Chamber of Commerce members choose a new structure for the organisations governance moving forward.

‘This is an exciting move forward' said Chamber CEO Wayne Walford.  ‘Times are changing and so the structure of the Chamber needs to change to meet the market' he said.

The board sponsored resolution was passed unanimously at the SGM changing the HB Chamber of Commerce constitution to enable a Board of 7 to govern the organisation into the future instead of the past structure of 14 Board members.

‘We are now calling for nominations for Board members to be elected at the Chamber AGM on Monday 13th July 2015' said Chamber President Brent Linn.  ‘This is a chance to ensure we have a range of governance experience, community conscience and economic nous on the Board' he said.

Chamber members considering standing for the Board can contact President Brent Linn or CEO Wayne Walford for more information regarding the expectations of the role and the personal attributes being sought.
